At Quench Taps and Tapas, every dish begins with a commitment to scratch cooking and the finest ingredients. Our chef and owner personally source seasonal produce and premium components to craft authentic tapas, housemade gluten-free breads, and desserts. This dedication ensures every bite reflects passion and quality, setting us apart in Surprise, AZ. Our scratch kitchen approach means freshness and flavor are never compromised, inviting guests to enjoy a truly handcrafted dining experience.


A little about us

Jeff and I have been fortunate to travel extensively across the U.S., indulging in a variety of wine bars and restaurants. Since moving to Arizona in 2015, we’ve been thrilled to witness the growth in the West Valley. However, we were surprised to find that there are limited dining options that aren’t part of a chain, feature outdoor seating, and offer exceptional food.


My passion for cooking inspired me to launch a catering business in 2019. This year, we took the exciting step of opening our own establishment, focusing on locally sourced, scratch-made dishes served as small plates, or Tapas, along with true gluten-free options for those with dietary restrictions. After being diagnosed with Celiac disease in early 2022 and Gastroparesis in 2012, I am committed to crafting delicious meals using the freshest, organic ingredients available.


As we all know, many things have shifted in recent years. Following nearly 30 years in the hospitality industry, Jeff was laid off, and we recognized that it was the perfect moment to embark on the next chapter of our incredible journey together. With his leadership expertise, my flair for creating flavors, and our combined customer service experience, we’ve established a welcoming, upscale environment where everyone can unwind and share good stories over wine, beer, and exceptional food.
